Why We Need People in Our Corner

Without this, fellowship has little value

Without this,
Fellowship isn’t valuable.

We all know we need people in our corner.
The church is a great place to develop that group.

But fellowship without accountability has little value.

The church is filled with plastic smiles.
It’s easy to stay at surface level with people.
It’s both comfortable and clean.

If we stay there, we will drift off course.
We need wise counsel. We need structure.

It’s not easy though.
Accountability is messy.
It’s vulnerable.
It’s uncomfortable.
It’s time consuming.

But it’s so rewarding.

Most men know it’s important but won’t do it.

Well… be different.

Ask another man to check in on your high-risk areas.
You do the same for him.

A man left unchecked is a danger to himself and his family.

Here are 5 questions you can use with an accountability partner.

  1. How has God blessed this week? What went right?

  2. What problem consumed your thoughts this week? What went wrong

  3. Temptation: How were you tempted this week? How did you respond?

  4. Time: Have you given your time to the ones who deserve it?

  5. Service: What have you done for someone else this week that can’t be repaid?

These are from the Man in the Mirror organization.

I hope you have a fantastic week!
