Faith over Fear

My brother-in-law went from cornfields to bullet trains.

Him and his family uprooted and moved to Tokyo
to be long-term international missionaries.

Years before they landed in Japan, he felt uneasy.
Like God was calling him to something greater.

Little did he know what God had in store...
Through prayer and conversations, him and his wife made the decision.

They would leave their jobs, their home, and their family
to move to an unknown city and spread the Gospel.

Why did they make such a drastic change?
Their faith outweighed their fear.

If they would have told God no,
we don't know what would've happened in Japan.
Life probably would have been easier for them.

But,
I know their "yes" wouldn't have rippled through our community.
Many would lack an example of someone putting faith over fear.
Their kids would have felt fear infecting their family.

Years ago, I remember looking under my bed for the Boogie Man.
The dark and mysterious space under the bed was scary.
Now, the dark and mysterious future is scary.

The enemy wins when fear prevails.

Stability is one of the most important qualities of a man.

Being stable for our family is tough
But there are ways to do it.

Here's some do's & don'ts that help me.
Do's:
>> Exercise
>> Sleep
>> Pray

The most common vices for men cause dopamine levels to spike.
When dopamine levels fluctuate rapidly,
it leads to mood swings.
Don'ts:
>> Avoid sugar
>> Avoid alcohol
>> Avoid porn
